January 29, 1996: Former Officer Richard Kelley (Detroit PD) had a twenty-hour stand off with police, during a domestic assault. It was Kelley’s third major incident of domestic violence and stand off with police. (Detroit Free Press)

January 30, 1996: Arraignment for former Officer Richard Kelley (Detroit PD) for January 29, 1996 dv assault and police stand off. Klonowski was sentenced to 18 months probation; ordered to serve 30 days on the court’s work program; ordered to serve 60 days on a tether program; ordered to complete anger management; ordered to pay $2000 in fines and court costs; and ordered suspended from the department for 1 year without pay. November 2004: Officer Brian Klonowski (Southgate PD), hired by the 28th District Court to work in the court’s drug screening department, (after being convicted of assault charges/suspended from the PD). (The News Herald)

January 07, 2005: Southgate Mayor Dennis David reinstated Officer Brian Klonowski (Southgate PD) without any restrictions to duty on January 10, 2005. Klonowski had only served 3 months, of a court ordered 12-month suspension from the department, (October 2004 conviction for April 24, 2004 assault). (The News Herald)

January 07, 2005: During an interview with Channel 4, Southgate mayor Dennis David stated that people needed to have some sympathy for Officer Brian Klonowski (Southgate PD)/ (April 24, 2004 assault).

January 10, 2005: Officer Brian Klonowski (Southgate PD) returned to duty, after only being suspended for three months after conviction for April 24, 2004 assault which required a one year suspension from duty. (The News Herald)

January 31, 2005: Detroit City Police Officer Romon Johnson: (Officer Johnson was married to two woman, and was charged with Bigamy in Louisiana on April 5, 2005).
